Inter Association Team Sprint 2015

We have been asked if we could field a team of three cars for the Inter Association Sprint, details  are pasted in below. One perk of participation is that half of your entry fee is paid for you. Any interested parties should get back to either myself or Dave in the first instance, as soon as possible.

East Midlands Association of Car Clubs

Inter Association Team Sprint 2015

The event this year will be held at Thoresby Park on Sunday September 13^th.

The event will be organised by Nottingham Sports Car Club on the weekend of 12/13^th September.

The Nottingham  Sports Car Club organises a sprint event on both days, and any driver wishing to enter the Saturday event will be most welcome.
Only the results from the Sunday event will count towards the Inter Association Team Sprint Challenge. But any newcomer to Thoresby Park will get experience of the course by entering the Saturday event.

Thoresby Park is a venue only used on these two days by Nottingham Sports Car Club each year, no other competitive motorsport event is allowed on the venue.

The course is on parkland estate roads and the Nottingham Sports Car ClubTrack Licence has a restriction in that the Racing Car Class is only up to 2000cc.

Thoresby  Park is in North Nottinghamshire 5 miles south of Worksop. The stately home in the par k was the ancestral home of the Earl’s of Manvers, the hall is now a “Warners Leisure Hotel” which is 200yds from the sprint course. You could book for the weekend Friday to Monday and enjoy the weekend in comfort with the added attraction of entertainment every evening.

There are other hotels and B&B’s in the area, also on site the club has an area for camping, mobile homes etc within 100yds of the course.

On Saturday night the club organises an evening meal in the Estates Private Village Hall (licensed bar) which is within walking distance of the camping area.

The weekend is unlike any other  you may have competed on, a stunning setting in beautiful parkland in front of a stately home, roads you probably will have never competed on before with a very social and friendly crowd of people.

Barbon Nag

Time is running out to get your entry in for Barbon . . . . . .

I am away from home right now, so am unable to post the Regs on the site until Monday, but you can do it all on line from links on this page :

XBC Scoring has been updated to Scammonden, but site security is such that I am unable to make this available from my laptop while on the move, so please check the site on Monday evening.

By Monday evening we should also have available Results for all past 2015 events, and any more Regs and Entry forms for future events that are available.

Oliver’s Mount

We are pleased to say that our Championship Coordinator, Jim O’Neil has now released the Championship Scoring for publication, and all the stages up to and including Oliver’s Mount are now available on our Web Site.

Please check for errors and omissions, a let us know of any problem.

Twelve of our number had a sneak preview of the scoring to date, displayed in the new WMC gazebo, and on the Sunday morning this provided a welcome shelter from the constant rain. Dave’s efforts in procuring this bit of kit are to be commended, and it is hoped that it will prove to be of benefit across all disciplines.

Scammondon is next, and it is time to think about entries for June Barbon and June Forrestburn !! Where does the time go ?? !!

Drive carefully !!
